Objective

The objective for this project was to choose three

books, either a series or three similar ones and

redesign their covers keeping the design strictly

type based. Each cover should be unique but

work together as a set.

Concept

I chose to recreate the covers for my personal favorite

series, the Harry Potter books. I recreated the

first three books for this project. The series is

all about magic and for this project I wanted to try

creating vintage style type, something that was

new to me but I felt would fit nicely with this

theme. I then used type to create elements that

were important in that specific book, the snitch,

the basilisk fang, and the time turner.
